Lesson 1: Why We Do What We do and How We Do It!
Every now and then something comes along that is a game changer. This is one of those times. You are about to embark on a journey to improve your own life, improve your performance by doing a deep dive into the world of communication and sales. This program is about getting salespeople and business people in touch with their immense personal power because powerful people are more effective overall. Communication is the foundation of human existence and in this 31-minute video, I provide some of the background for you. Where did I come up with these ideas? Why am I doing this? What are some of the benefits? Of course, the goal is to improve performance and improve skills. Being able to measure and establish a baseline for the business is imperative. Being able to measure and provide you with immediate feedback on your own performance is also an imperative. What would baseball be like without batting averages? In this program, you will always know where you stand and what needs to change in order to improve performance. IT’S A GAME CHANGER.
Lesson 2: Power Training – Establishing the Foundation
Power Training is about YOU! It’s about you getting in touch with your unlimited personal power. It’s about you getting in touch with why you are on the planet and what kind of impact you can have on the job, in the community, in your family and with yourself. The truth is, powerful energized people sell more, produce more and are more fun to be around. Powerful people typically have a philosophy for living and for producing results AND they are goal oriented. If you’re interested in getting in touch with the immense personal power you possess, THEN YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE, AT THE RIGHT TIME IN HISTORY. I invite you to immerse yourself in the study of language and communication with me because therein lies the source of your power.
Lesson 3: Power Training – Having a structured approach
So you want to be really effective in sales. You’ve made a commitment to yourself and to your company to improve performance. Great! Having an approach is really important and this video class is about just that. Sales in the Auto Repair and Tire industry is ‘akin’ to a Three Act Play on Broadway and you are the STAR! And, if you want to get a standing ovation at the end of the play, you need to know your material and know what act of the play you are working in with each customer. YOU’RE IN SHOW BUSINESS! Embrace it… Enjoy it… and keep working on it each and every day. A little bit every day and in time you will achieve results beyond what you thought possible. I promise you this… if you work the approach and practice each and every day for a few minutes, this program will transform your ability to communicate and will turn you into a Powerful Sales Closer.
Lesson 4: Understanding the underlying principals of the approach and needed preparation.
Given that you have chosen ‘Sales’ as your career, it’s a strong recommendation from me, (40 years sale experience) that you adopt a proven sales philosophy and a proven approach to communicating with sales prospects AND with people in general. That’s what this program is all about. You are entering the world of ‘Communication’… which is at the core of everything that you will do for the rest of your life. So this is really important. If you don’t master key elements of communication your effectiveness will pale in comparison to those who do. If at the same time, you work at it a little every day, you will develop real skill and competence and it will be a rewarding journey. I applaud your participation in this program and will encourage you to embrace this learning experience.
Lesson 5: Where we are headed – Examples of Great Work!
When taking a journey, it’s important to know what your starting point is. We went over that in the Lesson 4 where we showed you how we collect data and measure closing percentages by salesperson, product, and service and by location. So with a starting point or benchmark identified, we can begin our journey. In this lesson, we are going to listen to several calls and break them down for you so you can see where we’re headed and so you can see what a really effective call looks like.
Lesson 6: How To Develop Unlimited Confidence Through Practice – “The Practice Will Set You Free!”
We all want the accolades due a champion. We have visions of ourselves crossing the finish line in First Place and holding the First Place Trophy high over our head. While I believe that’s true for most of us, very few of us put in the time, get the coaching, do the study and organize our lives around the practice necessary to achieve what we want. My claim is this, “Becoming world class, at your chosen profession is within your reach, but you need to learn distinctions and you need to develop the habit of practicing every day. Practicing your sales approach hundreds if not thousands of times, WILL SET YOU FREE!”
Lesson 7: Let’s Get Started! Improving Sales Today! The Source of Your Personal Power!
Your life is created and invented in language and communication and in this video, I will show you that there are in fact only Six Moves In Language that are responsible for how your life turns out. Before the end of this video, I will share with you the source of your personal power and how to put your power ON THE COURT immediately after watching the video.
Lesson 8: The Power Of Making Offers In The Form Of A Choice Close
I’ve discovered over the years that one of the most powerful things you can do as a human being is learning to make powerful offers. And at the heart of making powerful offers as a sales professional is the act of making declarations (like we discussed in Lesson 7). And now I’m going to show you how to supercharge your offer by presenting a couple of ‘Options’ as your commitment to the customer.
Lesson 9: Listening Session – Price Dumps
This is a Listening Session about the nationwide practice of price dumping. The appointment closing percentages, when you price dump, are really really really low. However, in this Course and in this Lesson, we offer a much more effective course of action. Making Strong Commitments! In this Lesson, we revisit the three models upon which my Power Training program is built. We will look closely at how developing your own personal power is the key. After the review, we listen to and ‘break down’ and analyze some sales calls.
